反讽法反语(irony),为说话或文章时一种带有讽刺意味的语气或写作技巧,文学上常称为倒反法,字面上不能了解其真正要表达的事物,而真义正好是字面上意涵的反面,通常需要从上下文及语境来了解其用意。

例如胡适《母亲的教诲》「你没有老子,是多么得意的事。」事实上,丧父是一件悲哀之极的事。又如朱自清《背影》其中的一句:「我那时真是太聪明了」,单从字面上所能理解的是我太「聪明」了,然而作者要表达的是:「太不聪明了」。
