互联网分组交换协议（IPX）是由Novell公司提出的运行于OSI模型第三层的协议。具有可路由的特性。IPX的地址分为网络地址和主机地址，网络地址由管理员分配，主机地址为MAC地址。由于IP协议的广泛使用，IPX的应用逐渐减少。

Internetwork Packet Exchange 互联网分组交换协议Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) is the network layer protocol in the IPX/SPX protocol suite. IPX is derived from Xerox Network Systems' IDP. It may act as a transport layer protocol as well. The IPX/SPX protocol suite was very popular through the late 1980s into the mid-1990s because it was used by the Novell NetWare network operating system. Because of Novell Netware popularity the IPX became a prominent internetworking protocol. |
