Instrument landing system glide path (short: glide path of ILS [G/P] also glide slope of ILS [G/S]) is – according to Article 1.106 of the International Telecommunication Union´s (ITU) ITU Radio Regulations (RR) – defined as « A system of vertical guidance embodied in the instrument landing system which indicates the vertical deviation of the aircraft from its optimum path of descent.»
