2013年09月26日赫斯基能源公布，在纽芬兰圣约翰东北面和拉布拉多约500公里的北大西洋Flemish Pass盆地海上油田，最新在北湾（Bay du Nord）勘探发现，有潜在可开采重大轻油储量，最佳评估为可开采高达4亿桶，是过去4年全球石油勘探之中第12大储量。赫斯基能源持有勘探油田35%，合作伙伴挪威国家石油公司（Statoil）则持有其余65%权益。
