Hulata

Hulata (Hebrew: חוּלָתָה) is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located in the Hula Valley, it falls under the jurisdiction of Upper Galilee Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 372.
The kibbutz was established in 1937 as a fishing village by a gar'in of HaMehnot HaOlim youth group members, and was named after the Hula Valley. After the draining of the Hula swamps, the residents moved to working in agriculture.
