罗马蜗牛（学名：Helix pomatia），又名罗曼蜗牛，是一种大型的陆生蜗牛。它们是可食用的蜗牛，故此经常被养殖，被煮食时会被称为「法国蜗牛」。

罗马蜗牛是雌雄同体的，故此很少选择配偶的问题。它们每年会繁殖2-6次，产8-30只幼蜗牛。妊娠期约为3-4星期。它们要2-4岁才能达至性成熟。

罗马蜗牛交配时会先抬起头互相缠绕以触角感觉对方。受到刺激后，其中一只蜗牛就会将钙质的射器放入另一蜗牛的蹠部。当完成后，双方会交换重复此动作。休息过后，它们会将生殖孔重叠，再一次刺激对方。两只蜗牛会扭曲自己的身体缠绕对方，让阴茎及阴道相连。其中一只蜗牛会接受精子，时间约需4-7分钟。最后会移走阴茎，但两只蜗牛可能会继续缠绕几小时。

Helix pomatia, common names the Burgundy snail, Roman snail, edible snail or escargot, is a species of large, edible, air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Helicidae. It is an European species. In the English language it is called by the French name escargot when used in cooking (escargot literally means 'snail'). Although this species is highly prized as a food it is difficult to cultivate and rarely farmed commercially.
