Haua Fteah
Haua Fteah is a large karstic cave that is located in Cyrenaica, northeastern Libya. This cave is highly important in both African archaeological history and in piecing together the past of modern humans because it was in use through both the Middle and Late Stone Ages, also overlapping in other chronological timelines such as the Middle and Upper Paleolithic or the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods. Haua Fteah is thought to have housed modern humans as far as 200,000 years ago and still holds human inhabitants today.
