糖组学
糖组学(英语:Glycomics)又称糖体学,是生物学的一个学门,专门研究寡糖类(oligosaccharide)构造与功能,包括遗传,生理,病理等方面。Glycomics一词是从表示糖或甜味的「glyco-」与基因组学(genomics)和蛋白质组学(proteomics)之命名规律而来。此规律也导致了糖组(glycome)一字的出现,用来表示生物个体内拥有的所有碳水化合物。

Glycomics 糖组学Glycomics is the comprehensive study of glycomes (the entire complement of sugars, whether free or present in more complex molecules of an organism), including genetic, physiologic, pathologic, and other aspects. Glycomics "is the systematic study of all glycan structures of a given cell type or organism" and is a subset of glycobiology. The term glycomics is derived from the chemical prefix for sweetness or a sugar, "glyco-", and was formed to follow the naming convention established by genomics (which deals with genes) and proteomics (which deals with proteins). |
