逆行性生长（Anaplasia），是指成熟的正常细胞非正常地复归未成熟的细胞，为恶性肿瘤（malignant neoplasms）的指标性症状。大多数癌细胞会导致细胞去分化，让细胞无限制的分裂。但发生在干细胞的癌症，不会导致逆行性生长，而是使干细胞无法分化。

逆行性生长的细胞也往往形成巨核以及合胞体，正常细胞的N/C值（细胞核和细胞的比例）约为1：4或1：6，逆行性生长的细胞的N/C值约为1：1，N/C值的上升会造成细胞深染，为辨识细胞去分化与否的重要特性。除此之外，明显非典型的大量有丝分裂现象也是重要的特征，也可能在分裂时产生多个主轴，出现三极或四极的情形。此外，未分化的细胞通常不能识别其发展的方向（即失去正常的极性）。

Anaplasia (from Ancient Greek: ἀνά ana, "backward" + πλάσις plasis, "formation") is a condition of cells in which they have poor cellular differentiation, losing the morphological characteristics of mature cells and their orientation with respect to each other and to endothelial cells. The term also refers to a group of morphological changes in a cell (nuclear pleomorphism, altered nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio, presence of nucleoli, high proliferation index) that point to a possible malignant transformation.
