硬鳞质（Ganoine 或 Ganoin）是辐鳍鱼纲鱼类鱼鳞、鱼头和鱼鳍上的闪亮的组织，常有许多层。 包含一些杆状的磷灰盐结晶，只有少于5%的成份是有机物质。 现存的有硬鳞质的鱼类包括多鳍鱼和雀鳝，一些已灭绝物种也有硬鳞质。 是硬鳞的主要组成部份。

硬鳞质是一种古老的结构，在许多基干类群中都有发现。 常被认为是辐鳍鱼的共源性状，已灭绝的棘鱼纲鱼类也有硬鳞质。

硬鳞质被认为与脊椎动物的牙釉质同源， 亦或可能根本就是一种釉质。 因为它含有类似牙釉蛋白的蛋白质 并含有同四足动物的牙釉质相同的矿物质。

Ganoine or ganoin is a glassy, often multi-layered mineralized tissue that covers the scales, cranial bones and fin rays in some basal ray-finned fishes. It is composed of rod-like, pseudoprismatic apatite crystallites, with less than 5% of organic matter. Existing fish groups featuring ganoin are bichirs and gars, but ganoin is also characteristic of several extinct taxa. It is a characteristic component of ganoid scales.
