高卢（法语：Gaule；拉丁语：Gallia），古罗马人把居住在现今西欧的法国、比利时、意大利北部、荷兰南部、瑞士西部和德国南部莱茵河西岸一带的凯尔特人统称为高卢人。在后来的英语中，「Gaul」这个词（法语：Gaulois）也可能是指住在那一带的人民。不过更多时候这个词是指曾经广泛分布于中欧的多瑙河中游平原、西欧、东南欧的多瑙河下游平原；甚至在前285—前277年间扩张至安纳托利亚中部的使用高卢语（凯尔特语族的一个分支）的那些人。高卢的古罗马语就是「Gallia」。

从哈尔施塔特文化到前3世纪初期时的高卢人曾经广阔地分布在欧洲并分成了两族，除了住在今天法兰西的高卢人，还有一部分居住在亚平宁半岛北部的平原，其他的高卢人移民到今日的伊比利亚半岛和不列颠群岛一带。

Gaul (Latin: Gallia) was a region of Western Europe during the Iron Age that was inhabited by Celtic tribes, encompassing present day France, Luxembourg, Belgium, most of Switzerland, Northern Italy and parts of Central Italy, as well as the parts of the Netherlands and Germany on the west bank of the Rhine. It covered an area of 190,800 mi² or 494,169 km². According to the testimony of Julius Caesar, Gaul was divided into three parts: Gallia Celtica, Belgica and Aquitania. Archaeologically, the Gauls were bearers of the La Tène culture, which extended across all of Gaul, as well as east to Raetia, Noricum, Pannonia and southwestern Germania during the 5th to 1st centuries BC. During the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, Gaul fell under Roman rule: Gallia Cisalpina was conquered in 203 BC and Gallia Narbonensis in 123 BC. Gaul was invaded by the Cimbri and the Teutons after 120 BC, who were in turn defeated by the Romans by 103 BC. Julius Caesar finally subdued the remaining parts of Gaul in his campaigns of 58 to 51 BC.
