粟（学名：Setaria italica），亦称粱、稷，在中国俗称小米，属禾本科的一种植物。早在新石器时代就已经被种植，在青海遗址中也有出土。

一年生草本；秆粗壮、分蘖少，狭长披针形叶片，有明显的中脉和小脉，具有细毛；穗状圆锥花序；穗长20～30厘米；小穗成簇聚生在三级支梗上，小穗基本有刺毛。粟的稃壳有白、红、黄、黑、橙、紫各种颜色，俗称“粟有五彩”。卵圆形籽实，粒小多为黄色。

Foxtail millet (Chinese:小米; botanic name Setaria italica, synonym Panicum italicum L.) is the second-most widely planted species of millet, and the most important in East Asia. It has the longest history of cultivation among the millets, having been grown in China since sometime in the sixth millennium BC. Other names for the species include dwarf setaria, foxtail bristle-grass, giant setaria, green foxtail, Italian millet, German millet, and Hungarian millet.
