Fowey ( FOY; Cornish:Fowydh, meaning 'Beech Trees') is a small town, civil parish and cargo port at the mouth of the River Fowey in south Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. At the time of the 2001 census, it had a population of 2,273.This had increased slightly at the 2011 census to 2,395 The Fowey electoral ward had a population of 4,690 in 2011.
