社会控制 Social control

社会控制，社会学术语，意指通过社会机制或是政治过程来规范个人及团体行为，这个过程被称为社会控制。社会、国家、或特定的社会群体可以利用社会控制来凝聚共识，以及巩固统治的力量。
在二十世纪初期形成的社会控制理论，主要的研究对象就是正式或非正式的社会控制力量，如何在不同领域中运作。
