搭讪是指主动去跟陌生人结识对方的一种行为、动作。除了在现实中搭讪，在网络上如网络聊天室、网上讨论区等也会出现搭讪行为。以恋爱或进行性行为为目的之搭讪或称为猎艳。

搭讪的目地，通常会去搭讪，都是男子认为女性漂亮才会有这动作，也被认为是以外贸协会的人士。。

搭讪行为的接受程度因不同国家、社会文化而有所差异。在某些国家地区，搭讪有着负面的意义。比方说搭讪者多为利益、精神上的需求方，多有轻浮、随便、尴尬、装熟等评价。社会保守的国家中，甚至被视为是种可被判处监禁、死刑的罪行。

搭讪不同的个人道德底线有可能造成无法挽救的后果，例如性骚扰、诽谤、精神伤害、破坏家庭等法律问题。
