Flinders

Flinders, meaning fragments or splinters, is probably of Scandinavian origin.<ref name "Wiktionary">Wiktionary.</ref> There are many places with the word Flinders in their name. Most of these are in south-east Australia and are named for explorer Matthew Flinders.
