美国美式足球联合会(American Football Conference，简称AFC或美联)是美国国家美式足球联盟两联会其中之一。美国美式足球联合会与国家美式足球联会(NFC)在1970年代一同于国家美式联盟合并之后创立。除的克里夫兰布朗、匹兹堡钢人和之后的巴尔的摩乌鸦同意加入原先已经拥有10支球队的美联，其他的NFL球队都属于国联。最初这项安排并不受到这些城市球迷的欢迎。

AFL的球迷们很失望因为AFL放弃了原有的名称和标志加入了NFL—他们讨厌的前敌人，取而代之的是，合并的联盟为美联创造了一个类似于原本AFL的标志，特别的A字母和六颗围绕的星星。美联的标志基本上从被创造的1970年起，并没有什么改变，即使字母A不像初次亮相般大胆显眼。因为不明的因素，AFL的标志A是蓝色的，但美联的却是红色的。

The American Football Conference (AFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL). This conference and its counterpart, the National Football Conference (NFC), currently contain 16 teams each, making up the 32 teams of the NFL. Both conferences were created as part of the 1970 merger with the rival American Football League (AFL), with all ten of the former AFL teams and three NFL teams forming the AFC while the remaining thirteen NFL clubs forming the NFC. A series of league expansions and division realignments have occurred since the merger, thus making the current total 16 clubs per each conference.
