睫毛是一种毛发，长于眼睛的眼睑的边缘。具有保护眼睛的功用，十分敏感。如果有尘埃等的异物碰到睫毛，眼睑会反射性地合上，以保护眼球。

在现时世上多种文化里，长长的眼睫毛被视为一种女性化的象征。为了使眼睫毛变得更长，部份女性会选用诸如睫毛液或假睫毛等产品。另一方面，位于非洲东部坦桑尼亚的哈扎人女性却反而会修剪她们的眼睫毛。

除了睫毛液和假睫毛，眼影粉亦能够令睫毛看起来更漂亮。早在青铜器时期，人类已懂得用眼影粉来保护及强调睫毛。在古埃及，王室及有钱人会利用眼影粉来防止沙、尘或昆虫走进他们的眼睛。

An eyelash or simply lash is one of the hairs that grows at the edge of the eyelid. Eyelashes protect the eye from debris and perform some of the same function as whiskers do on a cat or a mouse in the sense that they are sensitive to being touched, thus providing a warning that an object (such as an insect) is near the eye (which then closes reflexively).
