西欧刺猬(学名Erinaceus europaeus)又称欧洲刺猬、普通刺猬，是一种在古北界各地分布的刺猬，除喜马拉雅和北非之外。在北纬60°之北不常见，只在芬兰，瑞典和俄罗斯西北才见到。

这种刺猬约20厘米长，生活在树林，农田和城市郊区。它们晚间活动，受惊时会卷成一团，用一身长刺保护自己。

和生活在温暖区域的较小刺猬不同，西欧刺猬可能冬眠。它杂食，食用各种无脊椎动物，但是较喜爱蛞蝓、蚯蚓、甲虫和其他昆虫。 它也可能吃青蛙，小型鼠类，幼鸟和鸟蛋。

The European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus), also known as the West European hedgehog or common hedgehog, is a hedgehog species found in Europe, from Iberia and Italy northwards into Scandinavia. It is a generally common and widely distributed species that can survive across a wide range of habitat types. It is a well-known species, and a favourite in European gardens, both for its endearing appearance and its preference for eating a range of garden pests. While populations are currently stable across much of its range, it is thought to be declining severely in Great Britain.
