心宿二（天蝎座α，α Sco，Alpha Scorpii），是在银河系的一颗红超巨星，也是夜空中第14亮的星（如果五车二的四合星系统中两颗较亮的星被分别标示时，它通常会被列为第15亮星）。它与毕宿五、角宿一、和轩辕十四是靠近黄道最亮的四颗恒星，也是天蝎座内最亮的恒星，代表着"蝎子的心脏"。它是一个光变明显但缓慢的半规则变星，平均星等是+1.09。并与一个蓝色主序星组成一个目视双星系统。心宿二还是射电源。心宿二是最靠近我们的OB星协的成员中最亮、质量最大、和已演化的恒星，属于天蝎-半人马星协上天蝎次集团的成员，其中包括成千上万颗平均年龄110万年的恒星，距离约为145秒差距（470光年）。 在中国，它是东方苍龙七宿中心宿的第二颗星，所以称为心宿二，又称为大火。过去用来确定季节。“七月流火”即是大火星西行，天气将寒之意。

Antares (/ænˈtɑːriːz/), also known by its Bayer designation Alpha Scorpii (abbreviated to α Scorpii or α Sco), is the fifteenth brightest star in the night sky and the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius, and is often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion". Along with Aldebaran, Regulus, and Fomalhaut, Antares comprises the group known as the 'Royal stars of Persia'. It is one of the four brightest stars near the ecliptic.
