涌现（英语：emergence，或译为突现、呈展）是一个复杂系统中由次级组成单元间简单的交互所造成的复杂现象。此为复杂系统重要的特性之一。

许多人都曾定义过“涌现”这个概念，包括亚里士多德、约翰·斯图尔特·密尔、朱利安·赫胥黎与George Henry Lewes。Jeffrey Goldstein则对涌现作以下定义：

涌现中有两种学派的看法：弱涌现中，元素层面的交互会造成新的特质出现，而突现特质可以化约到其个别的成分，通常是决定论者的观点；强涌现里，新特质是无法化约的，是超过各部分的总和的。

In philosophy, systems theory, science, and art, emergence is a process whereby larger entities, patterns, and regularities arise through interactions among smaller or simpler entities that themselves do not exhibit such properties.

Emergence is central in theories of integrative levels and of complex systems. For instance, the phenomenon of life as studied in biology is commonly perceived as an emergent property of interacting molecules as studied in chemistry, whose phenomena reflect interactions among elementary particles, modeled in particle physics, that at such higher mass—via substantial conglomeration—exhibit motion as modeled in gravitational physics. Neurobiological phenomena are often presumed to suffice as the underlying basis of psychological phenomena, whereby economic phenomena are in turn presumed to principally emerge.
