接骨木属（学名：Sambucus）约20余种，广泛分布在全球南北的温带和亚热带地区，在北半球种类最多，在南半球仅限于南美洲和澳洲部分地区。以前的分类方法将其列入忍冬科，但最新的根据基因分类的APG 分类法将其列入五福花科。

接骨木属植物一般为灌木或小乔木，只有两种为多年生草本，落叶对生，为奇数羽状复叶，5-30厘米长，小叶有锯齿；花小，聚合成圆锥状聚伞花序，白色或黄白色，春季末开花；果实为浆果，为红色、蓝色或黑色，也有少数为黄色或白色。

Sambucus is a genus of flowering plants in the family Adoxaceae, its species commonly called elder or elderberry. It was formerly placed in the honeysuckle family, Caprifoliaceae, but was reclassified due to genetic and morphological comparisons to Adoxa. In Sambucus, there are between 5 and 30 species of deciduous shrubs, small trees and herbaceous perennial plants.
