The Egyption Interior Ministry said attackers sprayed the policemen's car with bullets as they drove through the town of El-Arish.

An Egyptian security official says unidentified gunmen targeted the policemen at a government building, a television station and a police station in what are believed to be coordinated attacks in the town of El-Arish near the border with Israel and Gaza.
